Events
Events are at the heart of the NDSA’s mission to support digital stewardship professionals. Guided by the recommendations of the Events Strategy Working Group (2024–2025), we are working toward a year-round calendar of opportunities that includes:
- The annual Digital Preservation (DigiPres) Conference
- Regular virtual events such as town halls, brown-bag discussions, and educational presentations
- Collaborative Designated Community Events hosted with partner organizations
What are Designated Community Events?
Designated Community Events are in-person or virtual grassroots gatherings supported by NDSA that create space for digital preservation practitioners at all levels to build relationships, share strategies, and learn from one another. These may include webinars, workshops, or informal community discussions, often organized in partnership with regional or allied organizations. The goal is to provide flexible, practitioner-driven opportunities for engagement beyond the national conference.
