Organizational Transition Updates
Significant work to transition into a formal nonprofit in partnership with our colleagues at NISO was accomplished in June. The Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation accepted and approved the Articles of Incorporation for “National Digital Stewardship Alliance, Inc.” on June 3, 2026. NDSA now has an Employer Identification Number with the Internal Revenue Service, and has voted to approve a Conflict of Interest Policy. Finally, Bylaws continue to be developed that will correspond with the needs of NDSA as an organization, with continued discussion and review occurring in July.
