Events Steering Committee and Working Groups
Event Steering Committee co-chairs: Margo Padilla (margo [dot] padilla [at] berkeley [dot] edu) and Chelsea Denault (denaultc [at] mcls [dot] org)
The Events Steering Committee (ESC) is a standing committee responsible for the strategic oversight, planning, and continuous improvement of all NDSA events and programming. Building upon the foundational work of the Events Strategy Working Group (2024-2025), the ESC will ensure consistent, high-quality, and community-driven opportunities for engagement, information sharing, and professional development in digital preservation.
Activities
- Provide National Conference oversight and guidance, and manage the development, maintenance, and evolution of the NDSA Conference Planning Toolkit.
- Provide a framework for and manage Designated Community Events and learning opportunities.
- Coordinate or manage planning, logistics, and assessment of events with other relevant groups and committees.
- Assess and iterate on NDSA’s overall event offerings and strategy through data gathering and review of fieldwide best practice.
The Events Steering Committee meets monthly.
