Ongoing Events
The following NDSA events are recurring activities hosted by the NDSA Membership Working Group.
NDSA Open Orientation Calls
Interested in learning more about the National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA) and how to get involved?
NDSA hosts quarterly Open Orientation Calls to introduce new and prospective members to the organization, its activities, and opportunities for participation. These informal sessions provide an overview of NDSA’s mission, organizational structure, Interest and Working Groups, and ongoing initiatives.
Whether you’re new to NDSA, considering membership, or simply looking for ways to become more involved, these calls are a great opportunity to meet NDSA leadership, ask questions, and connect with the community.
All are welcome to attend! Sessions are open to new, current, and prospective NDSA members.
Upcoming Orientation Calls: Dates and registration information will be added when available
NDSA Unplugged
NDSA Unplugged is an informal gathering designed to bring members of the digital stewardship community together for conversation, connection, and the exchange of ideas.
Unlike traditional webinars or presentations, NDSA Unplugged provides a relaxed, interactive space for participants to discuss topics of shared interest, exchange experiences, ask questions, and learn from one another.
Sessions may focus on emerging challenges, current projects, professional experiences, or other topics relevant to the digital preservation community. The emphasis is on open dialogue and community engagement rather than formal presentations.
Whether you’re a longtime NDSA member or new to the community, we invite you to join the conversation!
Upcoming NDSA Unplugged Events:
- November 16th at 12:00 EST
Topic: “Small Shop” Edition
As part of our NDSA Unplugged Series, this next “Small Shop Edition” is a dedicated space for solo practitioners to connect, commiserate, and collaborate. This hour-long session is entirely participant-driven. There is no agenda, no formal presentations, and no pressure.
What to expect:
- Real Talk: Share your current hurdles, celebrate your recent wins, and exchange practical work hacks that keep your program running.
- Safe Space:** To encourage completely open and honest conversation, this session will not be recorded.
- Zero Prep Required: Leave the PowerPoint behind—there are no slides or presentations necessary.
Whether you’ve been managing a solo shop for years or you just inherited a digital archive last week, your voice is welcome here.
